Fire tower parking is a short drive away.

Please don’t block this private road. Free public parking is about a 15-minute drive away — the lot on North Long Pond Road, by the boat launch. You must loop around on paved public roads (see map).

Directions (work without signal)

Do NOT continue up Fire Tower Road — it dead-ends in an impassable, private road. Turn around.

  1. Turn around and follow Fire Tower Road back down for 1.2 mi to the T-junction.
  2. Turn Right onto Babcock Lake Road and go 1.6 mi.
  3. Turn Right onto State Highway 2 (Route 2) and go 1.1 mi.
  4. Turn Right onto North Long Pond Road and go 2.2 mi.
  5. Turn Right into the parking lot by the boat launch. Follow the trail markers to the Fire Tower.
